Smokin' in Ibiza

When Cigarette customers vacation in Europe, St. Tropez, Sardinia and the Greek Isles are continual favorites. But the sensual country of Spain adds serious competition for tourism of the sea -- especially the island of Ibiza, part of the archipelago of the Balearic Islands.

This tiny, bustling island is BIG in tourism - especially for music and fun lovers who come not only for the gorgeous waters, beaches and stunning restaurants, but more for the marathon music sessions at the popular clubs that permeate Ibiza Town and Marina! Famous names like Pacha, Amnesia, Privilege and Space dominate the late night-to-early morning dance and party scene and foster an Ibiza lifestyle. There, calling it a "night" at 7 AM, rising at noon and having cocktails while watching the sunset before an early evening nap -- then going out to have dinner and starting it all again -- is "normal".

The waters of the Mediterranean Sea beckon boaters after they shed the night's haze. Jaunts to Mallorca or the soothing beaches of Formentera are good therapy -- especially when in a Cigarette, you can get there quickly and enjoy the romp through the choppy, clear green sea. Cigarette Racing and Sir Richard Branson Stage A "Miami Vice" Scene to Celebrate

Sir Richard Branson, dynamic founder of Virgin Atlantic Airways, lives life on the cutting edge. It was no surprise then, that he would commemorate the 25th Anniversary of Virgin Atlantic Airways London-Miami route with a "splash" landing with Miami's own Cigarette Racing Team.

After landing at Miami International Airport with an entourage of British media and guests, on Wednesday, June 15, the group was treated to a nostalgic South Florida experience on Thursday, June 16 -- a re-enactment of a Miami Vice scene. Branson, playing Sonny Crockett, overtook an adversary in a Cigarette, "arrested" him -- but "he" turned out to be a gorgeous "her" -- Karolina Kurkova, supermodel and actress.

The promotional event was held on the Biscayne Bay waterfront of the Mondrian Hotel on Miami's South Beach and was entertaining spectacle for all the guests who will watch from the hotel's sea wall.

"We are delighted that Sir Richard Branson chose Miami's iconic luxury boat brand for this event," said Skip Braver, President/CEO of Cigarette Racing Team, "We have been a symbol of Miami's exiting lifestyle since 1969, so it is appropriate for us to salute Virgin Atlantic Airway's historic place in the South Florida market. We're pleased that the airline brings so many visitors to our waters and also happy we could give Sir Richard his Miami Vice experience aboard a Cigarette!"

Cannes Film Festival

No event in the world can lay claim to more celebrities and VIP's than the Cannes Film Festival. Cigarette racing was proud to join Global Partner Mercedes-AMG to provide unique VIP transportation support for this incredible event. With a variety of venues offering docking opportunities, the sights and sounds of the 46' Cigarette Inspired by AMG boat became a common occurrence while transporting VIP's to a variety of events and dinners around the coast. With a backdrop that included some of the largest super yachts and most prestigious hotels in the world, the Inspired by AMG boat never failed to draw a crowd wherever it docked. With its ability to quickly draw attention and turn any destination into an experience, the AMG Cigarette boat made a lasting impression on the Cannes crowds.

Cannes Film Festival

No event in the world can lay claim to more celebrities and VIP's than the Cannes Film Festival. Cigarette racing was proud to join Global Partner Mercedes-AMG to provide unique VIP transportation support for this incredible event.

Le Castellet

Cigarette Racing Team has been a partner of the AMG Private Lounge (a Mercedes-AMG global owners community) since its inception. With their close relationship, it was only natural for AMG to ask Cigarette to join them as they built a concept for an owner loyalty event that would see an international group of customers gather in the South of France to sample a variety of experiences that money can't typically buy. The theme included a day of on track activities in AMG vehicles and a day spent touring the coast in AMG's on the way to a picturesque marina where customers were treated to Cigarette boat rides in the 46' Inspired by AMG boat. 40 customers were treated to two days of incredible sights and sounds including thunderous taxi rides in the 2700 HP Inspired by AMG boat and the 550+ HP SLS AMG GT3 Race Car. Every detail from the private jet service directly to the race track to the incredible coast lines of Southern France made this experience one that every participant will never forget.
